rockin the house party

sometime in the early winter of 2000, the first falls apart gig was graciously hosted by our friend dan, (otherwise known as black dan, donny saunders, the skank, etc). we performed songs from our upcoming album "sundays", as well as a variety of half-practiced cover songs in his cozy living room. as the evening progressed things accordingly got out of hand, and we turned the stage over to an all-out freestylin' jam. by the end of the evening, everyone had their 15 minutes on the mic, whether it was through nonsensical howlings, rapping the lyrics to "the humpty dance" or by contributing to the all-girl back up vocal group that romped through a good chunk of Neil Young's discography. Indeed, it was an entertaining and enjoyable evening.
