falls apart on the farm

at the end of semptember we ventured to darryl's family farm for a weekend of recording in the barn. it was a very inspiring experience, the atmosphere reminiscent of neil young's "harvest" album (or at least pictures from the album cover). our friend brad accompanied us, and along with the help of darryl's dad and his 8-track recorder we managed to put down about 5 songs. 3 of the songs were from new falls apart material, and 2 were from brad's project, the golden section, which we provided a backup band for. at this point in time the songs are relegated to "demo" status but with some polishing they may find a home on a cd sometime in the future. also, since it was such a good atmosphere we hope to return at some point to possibly finish off a whole albums's worth of songs. but considering that the barn was unheated and quite cold at only the end of september, it may not happen until the warm weather returns. but until then, we have photos to enjoy.
